Catcher Ahn Seung-han registered, Park Yoo-yeon expunged
Left-hander Lee Won-jae was selected to replace Kim Dong-joo.
Doosan Bears prospect Kim Dong-ju, who has struggled mightily on the mound of late, has been removed from the first team roster.
Kim Dong-ju started the 2023 Shinhan Bank Solar KBO League game against the Kiwoom Heroes at Gocheok Sky Dome on April 24 and gave up four runs on three hits and four walks with two strikeouts in 1⅔ innings.
Doosan removed Kim Dong-joo and catcher Park Yoo-yeon from the first team roster on the 25th.
Speaking before the game against the SSG Landers in Jamsil, Doosan manager Lee Seung-yeop said of Kim Dong-ju, “He was not doing well as a starter. His velocity dropped a lot in yesterday’s game, and his changeup and fastball weren’t good enough to be a starter in the first team. As a starting pitcher, you have to pitch to give the outfield and bench a sense of security without giving up runs, and you have to have a good tempo. You have to pitch fastballs, and I think I made it harder on myself with more pitches.”
“We had a good start to the season, but it was our first time playing full-time and there were a lot of ups and downs. I think I need to learn from these failures. I need to reorganize if I want to get back into the first team.”
Kim Dong-joo has had some adjustment time in the Futures League. “I hope I can prepare well with the idea of going down to the second team and starting from scratch. There are still games left. If the pitches are better, we have a chance. I don’t want him to think too quickly.”
Kim Dong-joo’s spot will be filled by left-hander Lee Won-jae. “He gave up one or two runs in 20 innings in the second team. “There’s a spot open now, and if you have a player who has done well, you should use him. It’s up to the pitcher to decide if this is his last appearance or if he gets another chance. I want you to pitch without being intimidated. If you win, it’s great, and if you lose, I hope you do everything you can,” he encouraged.토토사이트
Pitcher Kim Yoo-seong and catcher Ahn Seung-han were called up to the first team in place of Kim Dong-joo and Park Yoo-yeon.
“I received a report that Kim Yoo-seong has the best delivery among the middle pitchers in the second team. He’s in good shape,” Lee said.
Ahn Seung-han was immediately named to the starting lineup. Doosan’s lineup consisted of Kim Tae-geun (right fielder), Kim Jae-ho (shortstop), Jose Rojas (left fielder), Yang Ji (designated hitter), Yang Seok-hwan (first baseman), Kang Seung-ho (second baseman), Heo Kyung-min (third baseman), Ahn Seung-han (catcher), and Cho Su-hyung (center fielder). Kwak Bin will take the starting mound.
